FIRE DRILL - We had a fire drill last month. We did an outstanding job and our staff assisted and ensured the evacuation of all of our members in a timely manner. Please remember to exit the building by using the NEAREST EXIT DOORS.
GRANTS FOR THE BWSC
SENATOR STEWART GREENLEAF has sponsored our organization and we received approval for a $10.000 Grant through the Department of Community and Economic Development. The monies can be spent on the following projects:
Window treatments in the library, conference room and game room, new bookshelves in the library, Large TV and VCR/DVD player for the conference room, new refrigerator reach in box for the kitchen, Renovations and paint the dining room. Thank you Senator Greenleaf, we appreciate everything you have done for improving the Center and our community.

Thank you, Ivyland Borough and Ivyland Borough Secretary Janet Pacchioli for your $19,000 project grant from the Bucks County Community Development and Business Development. The monies were used to purchase new dining room chairs and kitchen improvements. Thanks to Carol Jansseus Bucks County Project Director of Community Development for all of your guidance and assistance.

Beware of Contractor Con Artists
. Contractor fraud continues to be a problem in our community; but if you do your homework you can prevent fraud. The District Attorney's Office advises consumers to take the time to thoroughly check out contractors to ensure a safer contracting experience.Get at least three bids and don’t necessarily choose the lowest bid – you’ll probably
get just what you paid for, and you may not be happy. Get a reliability report from the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org. Or contact the Bucks County Consumer Protection 215-348-6060
Pay in full only when 1) the job is complete, 2) you’re satisfied, 3) you’ve received a "lien waiver" showing the contractor has paid sub contractors and suppliers.

EXERCISE – Now you can exercise on a regular basis. The Center has purchased a new treadmill and exercise bike. It’s free for all of our members to enjoy and stay active.
LIBRARY – Free books and periodicals are available in our library. Just help yourself and please return the books {honor return system} when you are finished with it.
WARC CLUB STATION – is open to anyone with an interest, on Tuesday evenings at the Center from 7 PM until 9 PM. For further info please call George Brechmann at 215-443-5656.
